Trance-Formation has won Third Prize International Songwriting Competition 2010

Concert at Bass 2010 festival Berlin

On October 5th 2010 Thomas will perform at Bass 2010. A huge festival in Berlin attracting bassist from all over the world.

For this concert Thomas composed some new pieces for Double bass. The compositions were commissioned by Fonds For Podiumkunst the Netherlands in the spring 2010.

The music is related to Thomas’ CD Too Much Bass? that explores 45 minute of duets with drums.

This time in Berlin Moritz Baumgaertner will be playing the drums.

Live Music at Alhambra-Tapas- Weesp

In 2009 a new place for live jazz was created at Alhambra Tapas in Weesp.

The restaurant is located on the channel (Herengracht) in the hart of Weesp, a small idyllic city just a 15 minutes train ride outside of Amsterdam.

On Sunday every month at 18:00 Thomas plays a concert with a drum less trio, presenting some of the finest musician and singers in Holland.

Dates for 2010: Oct. 17 – Nov. 14 – Dec. 12

Spring 2011: Jan. 9th – Feb. 13 – Mar. 13 – Apr. 10

Premier of new composition for saxophone quartet and jazz band

Summer 2008 Thomas was comissioned by Fonds For De Podiumkunsten to composed a piece for classical saxophone quartet and a Jazz band. It is a suite in 4 parts with the title Double Fusion.

In the spring Esquire Saxophone Quartet and Captain Hook invited a few composers to write for their new project.
The corporation between these two groups, a classical sax quartet and electric jazz band, started successfully last year.
They bring the two musical styles and disciplines together in one concert. The concept is appealing with the two groups treating musical material different at the same time. Keeping their individual approach while creating a new experience
as whole for the listener.
