This recording special recording, made in John Engels’ underground studio, is finally accessable on all streaming services from Friday June 13th 2025. It has already had a long life as a bootleg that went from hand to hand among musicians, that has is now finally changed with a great remastering and publication.

Special congratulations to Drummer John Engels on May 13th 2025 he turned 90th, Two days before he celebrated with performing at a crowded Bimhuis, where he also received a lifetime achivement Edison Award for his work.
This recording has always been a symbol of friendship and musical exploration between Jimmy, John and Thomas.
There was always a line open to pick it up and do a new recording session, but that did not materalize, but these tracks stands.

All these tunes are based on old, very known tunes from the American Song Book. ennies From Heaven in Minor, Sweet Georgia Brown, Devil May Care, Indiana That Old Feeling and Ghost of a Chance.
Evolving the improvisation possibilities on well established tunes and forms is the core of the art with these three musicians.
John’s intense swing also contribute to a very compelling listening experience.
